Several cottages complete with balconies have been built into the hill.
They are positioned in the shade so it’s really comfortable to sit outside and have a cup of coffee while on line using their wi-fi connection.
They have a small store in the office but I walked down to the market to eat. The food there is super cheap because this is not a tourist town.
I first went to the nearby Long Beach about 15 years ago and was amazed at the 14 kilometer strip of undeveloped sand beach that was there.

Most of that beachfront land has been bought up by land developers and politicians in Manila who were able to get funding for a world class airport to be built just outside of San Vicente.

Big resorts are now being built along the waterfront, but with 14 kilometers to develop there should still be public access for quite some time.
Long Beach is the finest I have yet come across in the Philippines.
I hear hear the one in Boracay is very nice, but that kind of place is just too crowded for me.
