El Nido isn’t the first place that comes to mind when you mention windsurfing but there are a few guys that give it a go here.
The bay is protected and the wind is not usually that strong but its a great place to learn how to do it.
Windsurfing gear can be rented from the Art Cafe and they have guys there that give lessons too.
El Nido really is set up for the tourist or traveler that is into action type stuff.
Sea kayaking seems to be a popular activity here too. Rental kayaks are available at several shops.
Just walk the beach until you come across kayaks on a rack and inquire.
The sit on top style and the sit inside models are both available.
Some of the more expensive resorts have kayaks for their customers included in the package.
The resort will then tow them to remote bays where everyone hops on and and gives it a go.
They can flip over if you are not too handy with a paddle, but the water is warm so you can enjoy a good swim. The resort helpers are never far away in case someone needs a hand.
It’s just a good idea not to take along a camera that is not waterproof.
